The client

Well Pharmacy is the largest independent pharmacy chain in the UK. They have 780 pharmacies and 70 years’ experience helping local communities to make the most of their health and wellbeing. Part of their customer offering is their prescription home delivery and collection services they provide across the country.

The CitySprint solution

CitySprint Health were able to provide a personalised delivery service to the Burnham-On-Sea branch, of Well Pharmacy, utilising an accredited courier working within their own new Pharmacy to home logistics solution. This partnership meant that Well could focus on the pharmacy work flow, allowing CitySprint Health to provide the vehicle and courier resource needed to complete the pharmacies prescription deliveries efficiently.
 

The outcome

CitySprint Health is delighted to be working alongside Well to provide a high level of pharmacy delivery support and it’s great that this partnership can yield such positive, important outcomes. An example of this is whilst performing deliveries on one particular occasion, a CitySprint courier, Sandy, noticed a man lying on the floor through the window calling for help. She immediately notified the emergency services, who arrived at the scene and provided care to the elderly gentleman who had fallen down the stairs. The patient has since made a full recovery.

Without Sandy’s vigilance, caring nature and quick thinking the situation could have turned out very differently, and CitySprint Health are proud to have such a high calibre of couriers working for them.
