2016 was another positive year for the CitySprint Group, completing a decade long run of consecutive growth. The Group delivered record revenue of £157.8 million, an increase of 8% on the previous year. EBITDA, the key measure of our business, increased by 4% to £17.4 million.
February 2016 also saw a major round of new investment with LDC joining Dunedin as investors to support the next stage of our strategy. Technology continues to drive our business and 2016 was a further step in our commitment to innovation through £6.6 million of capital investment in our wholly-owned software innovation division, LastMileLink Technologies. The year has seen us deliver further innovations as we support our customers beyond fulfilment and help transform the delivery industry. Our success is however in no small part down to our people who bring our values to life and put our strategy into action.
We are extremely proud of our achievements in 2016 and continue to take a long-term view and commitment to investing in our people, systems and technology. Many thanks go to our customers who have worked with us in 2016 and our fabulous staff and couriers whom are the best in the business.
